The Next Generation Today

U.S. Legend Cars International is proud to have a long lineage of drivers who have risen through the ranks to highest levels of motorsports after spending time in a Legend Car or Bandolero. Dale Earnhardt Jr. became the first USLCI alum to win a NASCAR national championship, when he won the 1998 NASCAR Xfinity Series title. In 2004, Kurt Busch became the first NASCAR Cup Series champion with a Legend Car background.

A combined total of 25 NASCAR national championships have been won by USLCI Alum and for the first time in 2023, all three national NASCAR championships were won by drivers who raced in either a Legend Car or Bandolero.

USLCI alum are not exclusive to NASCAR. Enzo Fittipaldi has move through European single seater racing, scoring his first Formula 2 victory at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in 2023. Sean Rayhall is a two-time sports car champion, winning the 2013 IMSA Prototype Lites L1 and 2017 European Le Mans Series LMP3 titles. The 2023 season also marked the first time a USLCI alum competed in the Formula One World Championship, when Floridian Logan Sargeant drove for William Racing.

Rajah Carruth

"The first thing I drove on iRacing back in June 2018 was a legend car, and the first thing I drove in real life in May 2019 was a legend car, so needless to say, legends was one of my first starts in racing. I honestly struggled at first, but watched, listened and learned to become competitive enough to move up to a late model stock. Legend cars taught me so much about car control and how to manage races, and these lessons I still use today."

Kurt Busch

"Legend Cars were such an important tool for me when I started racing. When you are able to take a spec car and travel to different racetracks knowing that your competition has the same car, you felt like you were on equal ground as a racer and you could really focus on learning the car, the track, and everything else. The competition in Legends was so fierce, it was so awesome. And as a teenager, I think it's the best car and platform to be able to hone your craft and to be able to work your way up in racing."
